Quantum-computing company IonQ said it has entered into a $1 billion equity financing with Heights Capital Management, selling 14.17 million newly issued shares and 3.86 million pre-funded warrants at $55.49 each. The price represents roughly a 25% premium to IonQโs closing level on July 3. The transaction also grants Heights Capital 36 million seven-year warrants exercisable at $99.88, equivalent to about 200% warrant coverage relative to the primary share sale. IonQ expects the deal to lift its cash balance to about $1.68 billion, which the company says is the largest single equity investment in its history and will support further expansion of its quantum-computing roadmap.
