Kraken, a prominent American cryptocurrency exchange planning to go public in early 2026, has expanded its services to include commission-free trading of over 11,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This new offering is available initially in nine U.S. states and the District of Columbia through a brokerage partnership powered by Kraken Securities. The platform integrates stock and ETF trading alongside cryptocurrencies, providing features such as fractional shares, 24/7 access, and real-time reinvestments within a unified interface. Kraken's move into equities trading marks a strategic effort to compete directly with traditional Wall Street brokerage firms. The company also has plans to extend its stock trading services to the United Kingdom and European markets in the future.
