Oppenheimer Asset Management raised its 2025 year-end forecast for the S&P 500 to 7,100 points from 5,950, restoring the most bullish outlook among major Wall Street firms. The new projection implies an 11% advance from the benchmark’s 25 July close and would deliver a third consecutive year of roughly 20% returns, a streak last achieved in the late 1990s. Chief Investment Strategist John Stoltzfus said recent trade accords with Japan and the European Union have removed a key source of market uncertainty, supporting higher equity valuations. Oppenheimer also lifted its aggregate earnings estimate for S&P 500 companies to $275 a share for 2025, about 3% above the current analyst consensus.
