Prada is exploring a potential bid for luxury fashion brand Versace, currently owned by Capri Holdings. The Italian fashion group is reportedly conducting a review of Versace as it evaluates this acquisition. Capri Holdings, which also owns Michael Kors, has recently faced financial challenges, being downgraded to junk status by S&P Global Ratings. Following this downgrade, Capri Holdings' shares fell by 4% to their session low. Prada has been granted exclusive access to Versace's financial data for four weeks, which may aid in its decision-making process regarding the potential bid.
