Robinhood Markets Inc. ($HOOD) has reportedly gained retail crypto market share from Coinbase Global Inc. ($COIN), according to Mizuho Financial Group Inc. This shift in market dynamics comes at a time when both companies were under consideration for inclusion in the S&P 500 Index. Speculation had been rife about the potential addition of $COIN and $HOOD to the index, with some market observers suggesting that their inclusion could lead to significant stock price movements. However, the S&P 500 committee ultimately chose Apollo Global Management Inc. ($APO) and Workday Inc. ($WDAY) for inclusion, leaving both $COIN and $HOOD out of the index for now. Despite this, $HOOD has seen a positive response in the market, closing at $41 for the first time in over three years, reflecting strong execution by the company throughout the year.
No S&P 500 for $HOOD Robinhood. Committee chose Apollo $APO and Workday $WDAY. I think they will get in 2025 but overall not that big of a deal, it would’ve been nice but their execution this year has been nothing short of incredible. First $41 close in over 3 years 🙌 https://t.co/vHUG34jVuj
$APP selling off -7% after hours since was not added to S&P lol.. def felt like was very crowded and many thinking it gets in.. So when playing for these index adds have to kinda lean towards ones few people are positioned for. Worked for us the past two quarters with $PLTR $KKR…
No $COIN $HOOD $SQ in the S&P but I'm sure they'll be a no profit way overvalued vs NAV investment vehicle in there any day guys. LOL
