Roblox Corporation reported strong financial results for the third quarter of 2024, with bookings reaching $1.13 billion, a 34% increase from the previous year. Revenue rose by 29% to $919 million, while net cash from operations surged 120% to $247.4 million. The platform also saw a significant rise in user engagement, with daily active users (DAU) increasing from 79.5 million to 88.9 million, and monthly hours of engagement jumping from 5.8 billion to 6.9 billion. Despite a net loss of $239.3 million, adjusted EBITDA stood at $55 million. Roblox added 2.6 million new monthly unique payers, its largest increase since the pandemic. The company's stock surged by 25% following the earnings announcement, and its annual bookings forecast was lifted as in-game spending continues to grow. Roblox's CEO, David Baszucki, emphasized the company's commitment to child safety amid ongoing allegations of child predation on the platform. The company's free cash flow generation was also highlighted as a key metric.
