U.S. equities ended lower on Wednesday, weighed down by renewed selling in large-cap technology shares. The S&P 500 slipped 17.32 points, or 0.27%, to 6,394.05, extending a multi-session retreat in the benchmark. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 138.44 points, or 0.65%, to 21,176.51, marking the day’s sharpest major-index decline. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was little changed, rising 3.20 points, or 0.01%, to 44,925.47.
