The company posted adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $7.15, compared to the estimated $6.99. Revenue for the quarter reached $100.82 billion, exceeding the forecasted $99.16 billion and marking a 9% year-over-year increase. Despite these positive results, UnitedHealth narrowed its full-year 2024 adjusted EPS guidance to a range of $27.50 to $27.75, down from the previous range of $27.50 to $28.00. The adjustment accounts for an estimated $0.75 per share impact from business disruptions related to Change Healthcare services. Additionally, the company's medical care ratio (MCR) increased to 85.2%, compared to 82.3% the previous year and an estimated 84.4%.
