Ng, the Managing General Partner of AI Fund, a venture studio that supports entrepreneurs in building AI companies, joins Amazon as the company seeks to bolster its AI capabilities. This strategic move comes as Amazon's cloud unit faces increasing competition from Microsoft, which has strengthened its position in the AI market through an early partnership with OpenAI and the integration of its technology into Azure. Concurrently, Judy McGrath, a former MTV executive, will not stand for re-election on Amazon's board.
