Apple's Vision Pro headset is seen as a pivotal product that could reshape the company's future. The roadmap indicates no new model until Fall 2026, with a focus on making a cheaper version. The delay in Vision Pro 2 release has raised concerns about pricing and competition in the market.
Today’s news that the v2 of the Vision Pro won’t come until Q4 2026 is not good. At current chip cadence v1 headset will be 4 years behind (M2 vs M6) when new headset comes. My guess: to make time for mobile chip speeds of M2+ so can tether to phone (or use phone SoC).

Vision Pro is a new product category. It’ll take time to play out. That said, I’ve owned a Vision Pro since they came out and used it only a couple of times. But it reminds me of the early iPhone. Things will change once apps/new devices appear over the coming years https://t.co/tcwpVI9AoS
