
Paris-based venture capital firm Breega has announced the first close of its $75 million Africa fund, aimed at investing in pre-seed and seed startups across the continent. Breega has been actively investing in African startups for the past two years and is now dedicating a specific fund to the region. The fund, which has already secured 70% of its capital, will focus on early-stage investments ranging from $100,000 to $2 million. The firm is particularly interested in the Big Four markets and Francophone Africa. Breega aims to make at least 40 investments through this fund, with backing from Bpifrance and FMO.
