Databricks has introduced an open-source model that competes with GPT-3.5, claiming superiority over other open-source models. The new model is seen as promising, but its relevance may be challenged by upcoming advanced models. SambaNova also boasts a superior LLM, despite not being open-source, raising questions about their comparison with open-source models.
SambaNova claims to have an LLM that beats all other open-source LLMs!!! One small catch - Their model doesn't appear to be open-source Given that they are comparing themselves with open-source LLMs, shouldn't they also make theirs open-source? Also, if your model really has… https://t.co/gh8znQKX2I
Open LLMs strike back. Not only a strong model but a disruptive architecture you won't find in closed AI. https://t.co/pdJ0jnmS7s
Databricks launched a open source(ish) GPT-3.5 class competitor. They claim it beats the other open source GPT-3.5 models, and, in quick informal testing, it seems okay and very GPT-3.5. Really, the question is whether more advanced models, coming soon, make this irrelevant. https://t.co/DrU30rwMal
