
Former Meta engineers have launched Jace, an action-oriented AI agent developed by Zeta Labs. Jace is designed to perform a variety of tasks independently, going beyond traditional AI chatbots by handling longer-running tasks and taking actions in the digital world. It uses two models: an LLM for chat and AWA-1 for tasks, allowing it to manage complex web interactions such as booking hotels, replying to emails, and even registering a company. Zeta Labs has not yet monetized Jace but is working with design partners. The company recently secured a $2.9 million pre-seed funding round to support the development of Jace.
