Google has announced the launch of Gemma 2, its new open AI model for developers. The Gemma 2 series includes a 27 billion parameter model that can run on a single TPU. The 27B-parameter model is set to launch in June. Alongside Gemma 2, Google is also introducing another model called PaliGemma. The previous version of Gemma did not have restrictions on the use of generated output, although it was not fully open source.
