SPEEDRUN Opens $75M Accelerator for Tech and Games Startups, Offering $750K Each

The SPEEDRUN program, a tech and games accelerator, has opened applications for its third edition, SR003, set to begin on July 29 and run until October 20 in Los Angeles. This initiative, supported by a16z Games, aims to invest $750K per startup in the best early-stage teams at the intersection of technology and gaming, with a total investment of $75M into the games x tech ecosystem. The program, which emphasizes the convergence of games, tech, and culture, encourages founders who are either contemplating starting a company or are already building in the space to apply. The application deadline is May 19, 2024, with selections to be announced by the end of June. SR003 will conclude with a Demo Day during SF Tech Week in October, highlighting the importance of funding for new startups in the gaming sector. The SPEEDRUN initiative not only offers financial support but also provides a platform for founders to connect with investors and industry experts, further enriching the tech and gaming ecosystem.
