Uber has announced a partnership with electric vehicle ride-hailing startup Revel to enhance the accessibility of charging stations in New York. This collaboration marks a significant step towards Uber's ambition to transition all its rides to zero-emission vehicles by 2030. The partnership will provide exclusive charging discounts to EV drivers in NYC, particularly benefiting Uber drivers by guaranteeing them usage of Revel's charging facilities. Revel is also planning to expand its charging network and is currently seeking $200m in funding to support this growth. The company aims to become profitable by the fourth quarter.
