Reigning Grand Slam singles champions Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz will partner in the mixed doubles event at the 2025 US Open, according to the draw confirmed on 19 August. The pairing marks the first time the two former singles winners—Raducanu captured the women’s title in 2021, Alcaraz the men’s in 2022—have entered a major together. Both players practiced at Flushing Meadows ahead of their debut and took the court later the same day for their opening match. Alcaraz said he was "excited to share the court" with Raducanu, while Raducanu praised Alcaraz’s aggressive baseline game. The mixed doubles addition provides an extra storyline to a tournament where both remain contenders in their respective singles draws.
