World No. 1 Jannik Sinner overwhelmed Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-0, 6-2 on Thursday to reach the Cincinnati Open semi-finals and extend his unbeaten run on hard courts to 25 matches. The Italian defending champion lost just two games in 67 minutes, breaking Auger-Aliassime five times and saving the only break point he faced. Sinner is only the fifth man this century to compile at least 25 straight victories on the surface, joining Roger Federer (56), Novak Djokovic (35), Andy Murray (28) and Rafael Nadal (26). The win also marked his ninth successive triumph at Cincinnati and his second consecutive appearance in the tournament’s last four.
