
Federal authorities have indicted ten doctors and two pharmaceutical executives, alongside two business entities, in a widespread kickback scheme across Texas. The scheme involved bribing doctors to direct prescriptions to certain pharmacies, which in return paid kickbacks for these referrals. The Office of Public Affairs revealed that one medical doctor has been charged in connection with a $20.7M health care fraud and illegal kickback schemes.
