Turkish Stocks Fluctuate After Imamoglu's Arrest; BIST 100 Index Up 1.35% at 9,167 Points, Gains 1.76% Tuesday

The Turkish stock market experienced fluctuations following the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. Initially, the BIST 100 index opened the week with a 1.35% increase at 9,167 points. However, despite this early gain, the market faced challenges as investor uncertainty grew, leading to a decline in Turkish assets. Reports indicate that the stock market struggled to maintain its gains, with tensions high after Imamoglu was jailed pending trial. In response to the turmoil, authorities announced new measures aimed at stabilizing the market. On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index rebounded further, showing a 1.76% gain in the session after last week's volatility.
