A village in Uganda's Mukono District has gained international attention for a unique sport known as soft ground wrestling, where young men and women wrestle in a mud-filled ring. The sport's founder, Daniel Bumba, also known as Bumbash, developed the game after initially teaching locals wrestling moves inspired by WWE. Before each match, the ground is dug up and water is poured to create a soft, muddy surface. Participants undergo proper training and must meet health requirements, including being free from HIV and ulcers. Bumba aims to develop professional African wrestlers capable of competing in the United States. Matches typically take place on Sundays and have started attracting tourists from around the world.
