LMAO at this playing card, which is part of a game I just bought, because based on the rationale being used by the Trump admin to censor art and history at the Smithsonian, this distorts American history and should be barred from public display. https://t.co/ovuU2bFTL0

White House releases list of objectionable Smithsonian exhibits https://t.co/0w5z3CzoyG
The White House on Thursday published a list of 20 Smithsonian Institution exhibits, programs and artworks it says present U.S. history through what it calls “ideological” rather than factual narratives. According to the administration, the selected items—including displays on racism at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, LGBT-related art at the National Museum of American History, and a stop-motion animation on former NIAID Director Anthony Fauci at the National Portrait Gallery—reflect perspectives the government claims are politically charged or insufficiently balanced. Other entries criticized by the administration include a portrait-gallery campaign urging the museum to become less “wealthy, pale and male,” and an exhibition that examines immigration and the U.S.–Mexico border wall through modern dance performance art. The Smithsonian, a federally funded network of 21 museums and galleries, has not yet issued a formal response. The White House did not specify what actions, if any, it plans to take beyond publicly identifying the exhibits.
