The Department of Homeland Security has received more than 130,000 applications for 10,000 new officer positions at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. The response follows the agency’s nationwide recruitment drive, launched earlier this year, to expand ICE’s enforcement capacity. Noem said the volume of applicants underscores heightened interest in federal security work under the Trump administration.
