Senator Lummis Projects Digital Asset Market Structure Bill and Bitcoin Reserve Act to Pass by December 2025

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis has indicated that legislation establishing a regulatory framework for digital asset markets could become law by December 2025. This market structure bill aims to provide clarity on the categorization and regulation of cryptocurrencies, which proponents believe will drive significant growth in Bitcoin and other leading network tokens. The bill's progress follows the recent signing of the "Genius Act," which is expected to complement the new regulatory measures. Additionally, former White House crypto director Bo Hines expressed confidence that the Bitcoin Reserve Act will be enacted within the year, marking 2025 as a pivotal year for Bitcoin. U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnick has also voiced optimism about Bitcoin's future trajectory, suggesting it is poised for substantial gains.
