This latest investment values Abridge at $5.3 billion, doubling its valuation from the $2.75 billion it achieved in February after a $250 million raise. The company’s AI platform is now used by 150 health systems and is expected to support over 50 million medical conversations this year, aiming to reduce clinician burnout by up to 70%. Separately, OpenEvidence, an AI search tool designed to help physicians access evidence-based answers at the point of care, raised $210 million in a Series B round led by GV and Kleiner Perkins at a $3.5 billion valuation. OpenEvidence is currently used by 40% of doctors in the U.S. and handles 8.5 million clinical consults per month. Additionally, Ambience Healthcare, which uses AI to automate administrative tasks such as clinical documentation, coding, and clinical documentation improvement across more than 100 specialties, raised $243 million in a Series C round led by Andreessen Horowitz and Oak HC/FT, valuing the company at over $1 billion. Ambience’s platform is operational at major medical centers including Cleveland Clinic and UCSF.
