Brahma Finance (@BrahmaFi) has relaunched the minting of its Imprint NFT following an initial round that was overwhelmed by millions of bot accounts. To address this, the second round incorporates a bot filtering mechanism, an optimized on-chain interaction framework, and a "death" feature that deactivates NFTs held by inactive or non-interacting accounts, preventing them from receiving airdrops. The Imprint NFT is a soulbound token linked to users' Brahma accounts on Berachain, designed as a non-transferable digital asset resembling a Tamagotchi electronic pet. Users can upgrade their NFTs by consistent interaction, unlocking levels that guarantee Brahma token airdrops, with level 4 unlocking a minimum 5% supply airdrop. The initiative aims to reward genuine on-chain users ahead of Brahma's token launch. The project has attracted significant attention, including a $6.7 million fundraising round and participation from investors such as a16z, which invested $18 million in Catena Labs, a related entity. The free minting is open without limits but restricted to real users to enhance fairness and engagement.
