
Cleantech startups are making significant strides in waste management and pollution reduction. DPIIT-recognized startup ReCircle has diverted over 169,000 metric tons of waste from landfills and oceans back into the economy. The company plans to use new funds to expand, including setting up a new recycling unit. Additionally, RecommerceX has raised $3.6 million in funding to recycle industrial waste, recovering critical materials and useful by-products for its customers. Paris-based French startup Calyxia has secured $35 million (€31.5 million) in a Series B round to tackle microplastics pollution and help global manufacturers improve product performance while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Calyxia specializes in advanced, biodegradable microcapsules and is a certified B Corp.
