Heron Power, a company founded by Drew Baglino, former Senior Vice President of Powertrain and Energy at Tesla, has closed a $38 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Capricorn with participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, GigaScale, Powerhouse Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, and notable Tesla alumni including former CFO Zach Kirkhorn and JB Straubel. Heron Power's initial product, the Heron Link, is designed to replace legacy transformers and aims to advance electric grid technology.
