Design-software maker Figma publicly released an S-1 registration statement, confirming plans for a U.S. initial public offering. The filing puts the San Francisco-based company on track to join a slowly reviving market for venture-backed listings later this year, and opens a path for early investors and employees to begin cashing in equity awards. Alongside the filing, Figma said ServiceNow Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bill McDermott has joined its board of directors. Co-founder and CEO Dylan Field said McDermott’s experience leading large enterprise-software businesses would help Figma scale its own platform for corporate customers.
