Fireworks AI, a U.S. cloud-computing startup that rents clusters of Nvidia graphics-processing units to run open-source artificial-intelligence models, is negotiating a new financing round that would value the company at about $4 billion, according to people familiar with the talks. The prospective valuation is more than seven times the level Fireworks AI achieved in 2024 and is being discussed with existing backers Lightspeed Venture Partners and Index Ventures, the people said. The company generates more than $200 million in annualized revenue and counts AI search firm Perplexity among its customers.
