Austin-based 3D home printing startup ICON has successfully raised $56 million in Series C funding, led by Norwest and Tiger Global. The funds will primarily be used to advance the development of Phoenix, ICON's line of multi-story 3D printers. This funding round comes shortly after the company experienced significant layoffs. In a separate development, the U.S. Space Force has awarded Firefly Aerospace a $21.8 million contract for a rapid-response launch mission as part of its new 'Victus' program, which aims to enhance quick launch capabilities.
