Nazara Technologies has announced plans to invest ₹196 crore in five different ventures as part of its strategy to enhance growth in the gaming and entertainment sectors. This investment follows the company's recent capital raise of ₹855 crore (approximately $100 million) through a preferential issue of over 8.9 million fully paid equity shares. Of the ₹196 crore earmarked for investment, ₹148 crore will focus on strengthening existing businesses. The company is also pursuing mergers and acquisitions, with recent investments in Funky Monkeys and LearnTube, as well as stakes in companies like Nodwin Gaming and Sportskeeda. CEO Nitish Mittersain has outlined a roadmap for international expansion, aiming to leverage the raised funds to conquer global gaming and esports markets.
