Ponte Labor, a startup founded by Colombian immigrants Stephanie Murra and Lorenza Vélez, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by Harlem Capital. The company aims to connect over 60,000 Hispanic workers with employers through an AI-driven job matching platform utilizing WhatsApp. The idea for Ponte Labor originated while the founders were pursuing their MBAs at Harvard Business School, where they engaged with Hispanic workers on campus. The funding is expected to enhance Ponte Labor's innovative approach to hiring in the immigrant community, marking a significant step in the Miami tech ecosystem.
