A Swedish investment firm, Pophouse Entertainment, co-founded by ABBA star Bjorn Ulvaeus and Conni Jonsson, has raised €1 billion ($1.3 billion) for its first music fund. The fund, valued at 11 billion kronor, aims to acquire and innovate music rights. Separately, South Korea's HYBE Interactive Media (HYBE IM) has raised $21 million in funding to expand its video game publishing business, leveraging K-pop artist intellectual properties. This follows an earlier $80 million investment in 2024, bringing its total funding to $100 million. Investors in the latest round include IMM Investment, Shinhan Venture Investment, and Daesung Private Equity. The funds will be used for marketing, operations, and localization strategies for upcoming titles, including MMORPGs like 'Architect: Land of Exile' and 'Arkheron.'
