Jeremy Yamaguchi has launched a new venture named Splash, aiming to consolidate the fragmented pool cleaning industry by acquiring hundreds of small pool cleaning companies to establish the first national brand in this sector. The initiative has successfully raised a $4.5M pre-seed funding round, led by Asymmetric, with contributions from over 40 founder/CEOs. The venture has garnered significant support from the investment community, including Seaplane VC, which recently closed its maiden fund with contributions from 18 former colleagues and has made six investments to date with plans for another 9 over the next couple of years. Other individual investors have expressed their enthusiasm for Splash's potential to transform the pool service industry, highlighting the opportunity presented by retiring boomers.
