The Sidemen, Europe’s largest YouTube collective with over 150 million followers and 50 billion views, have co-founded Upside, a venture capital firm focused on investing in consumer technology startups. Irish entrepreneur Jamie Elliot has partnered with the group to establish the fund, which plans to invest $25 million (€22.34 million) over the next four years. Upside aims to back early-stage consumer-focused tech companies across Europe and the United States, leveraging The Sidemen’s extensive social media reach to support portfolio companies. The fund recently emerged from stealth mode and has attracted interest from investors, including Anthony Scaramucci.
