Recent data from UTIMCO indicates that Thrive Capital's newer funds are outperforming traditional venture capital returns, effectively breaking the conventional 'J-curve' associated with venture investments. Despite an overall downward trend in fund performance, particularly for vintages from the mid-2010s, Thrive Capital has shown strong results. For example, investments of $22 million returned $300 million, and $26 million returned $600 million, cumulatively amounting to approximately $130 million returning $1.2 billion. This performance highlights the consistency and success of Thrive Capital's newer funds amidst a challenging market environment for venture capital.
