Towns Protocol, a decentralized communication platform developed by HNT Labs, has successfully raised $10 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and included participation from CB Ventures and Benchmark. This latest funding brings the total capital raised by Towns to $35.5 million, following a $25.5 million Series A round completed in February 2023. Additionally, the platform is reportedly generating revenue, pulling in 32 Ether per town in fees. An airdrop is also confirmed for the second quarter of 2025, with a total supply of 10 billion tokens, 60% of which will be allocated to the community and foundation, and a 20-year unlock period for these tokens.
