
U.S.-based cryptocurrency startups dominated global venture capital (VC) funding in Q4 2024, securing 46% of the total $3.5 billion invested in the sector, according to Galaxy Research. This marked a 46% quarter-over-quarter increase and the highest funding level in two years, despite a 13% drop in activity. U.S. startups also accounted for 36% of the total 416 deals, outpacing competitors in Hong Kong (16%) and Singapore (9%). The total VC investment in crypto and blockchain startups for 2024 reached $11.5 billion. Despite regulatory challenges, the U.S. remains a leading hub for blockchain innovation, with optimism fueled by the new Trump administration.
