Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has expressed strong support for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the Bolivarian Government amid what they describe as imperialist threats from the United States. Cuba issued a formal declaration condemning the U.S. military deployment in the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela, labeling it a serious threat to peace and sovereignty in Latin America and the Caribbean. Venezuela has thanked Cuba for its stance against the U.S. military presence. Additionally, several regional groups, including the Communist Party of Honduras, the International Antifascist chapter in Uruguay, and social and political organizations in Argentina, have publicly rejected the U.S. naval and submarine deployment off Venezuela's coast. Meanwhile, Venezuelan President Maduro acknowledged cooperation with Colombian President Gustavo Petro in regional security efforts, noting the deployment of 25,000 troops to Colombia's Catatumbo area for continued protection. Maduro also led the closing ceremony of Venezuela's II Course of Revolutionary Special Operations, highlighting growth in the national industrial production sector as noted by Vice President Delcy Rodriguez. Some conservative Latin American groups, however, have expressed support for the U.S. military presence near Venezuela.
