The U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, responded to accusations from Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello, who alleged that Landau was harassing Venezuela and conspiring against Nicolás Maduro's administration. Landau countered by stating that it is Cabello and his associates who have harassed and declared war on the Venezuelan people. In related developments, U.S. authorities have charged 30 individuals, including alleged members of the Venezuelan criminal organization Tren de Aragua, with drug trafficking and arms offenses. Meanwhile, Diosdado Cabello announced a recent seizure of weapons in the state of Miranda, which he linked to terrorist plans and conspiracy efforts against Venezuela’s peace. Cabello confirmed the detention of suspects known as 'La Negra' and 'El Flaco' in Sucre state for their involvement in these alleged terrorist activities. He also accused opposition figure María Corina Machado of being connected to narcotrafficking conspiracies and described her as a criminal and terrorist. Cabello emphasized that peace will prevail over those he described as enemies of the nation and warned the public and international community about these events.
