Activision Drops Black Ops 6 Skins and Weapons From Black Ops 7; Double XP Carries Forward Ahead of November 14 Launch
Activision has announced that content from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not carry forward into the upcoming Black Ops 7, with operators, operator skins, and weapons excluded from the transition. Only Double XP tokens and Gobblegums will carry over. This decision follows community feedback criticizing the previous carry-forward system for diluting the Call of Duty identity. Activision stated that bundles and items in Black Ops 7 will align more closely with the Black Ops franchise's identity. Black Ops 6 content will remain accessible in Warzone. The new title is set for release on November 14, 2025. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch on October 10, 2025, with PC specifications requiring at least an RTX 2060 or RX 5600 GPU, a Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, 16GB of RAM, TPM 2.0, and Secure Boot. The game supports 4K resolution, uncapped frame rates, and offers over 600 customization options, including a newly revealed large map and a server browser feature.
