Digital Eclipse used Gamescom 2025 to unveil the full line-up for “Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection,” a multi-platform anthology that brings together more than 20 versions of the fighting franchise’s early titles. The package adds two long-out-of-print spin-offs—1997’s Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and 2000’s Mortal Kombat: Special Forces—marking the first time they will be playable on modern hardware. The compilation also revives the WaveNet arcade edition of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, a networked variant released briefly in 1995 and never reissued. All games feature modern amenities such as rollback netcode for online play, rewinds, on-screen move lists and a new trainer mode. An interactive documentary layers interviews with co-creators Ed Boon and John Tobias alongside archival footage and design materials. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is slated to launch on 12 December for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch consoles and PC.
