Ghost Story Games founder Ken Levine published the first developer log for Judas, unveiling the game’s official key art and confirming that the team has completed a major “Villainy” milestone. Writing on the PlayStation Blog on 27 Aug 2025, the BioShock creator explained that Judas will let players befriend—or alienate—three principal characters—Queen Nefertiti, Sheriff Tom Austin and Hope Jimenez—turning whichever is ignored into the story’s antagonist with new powers that disrupt the player’s progress. Levine said the studio recently finished its largest play-test to date, gathering feedback on how the dynamic villain system influences combat, hacking and crafting. The poster, styled after illustrator Drew Struzan’s classic film artwork, was released alongside the update, but Levine reiterated that Ghost Story will not set a launch window until it is confident it can meet the date. Judas was first revealed at The Game Awards in 2022 and is the Massachusetts-based studio’s debut project.
