Sony Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft jointly unveiled a Halo-themed "Legendary Warbond" for Helldivers 2, marking the first time Halo game content will appear on a PlayStation-published title. The downloadable add-on launches on 26 August, the same day the Sony hit debuts on Xbox Series X|S with full cross-play across consoles and PC. Priced at 1,500 Super Credits—about US$15—the Warbond adds four iconic Halo weapons (MA5C Assault Rifle, M7S SMG, M90A Shotgun and M6C/SOCOM Pistol), two ODST-inspired armor sets, new capes, vehicle skins, banners and a "Feet First" passive ability. Unlike time-limited battle passes, Helldivers Warbonds do not expire, letting players unlock the content at their own pace. The collaboration underscores a gradual thaw in platform exclusivity as Microsoft extends the Halo brand beyond its own hardware while Sony broadens the reach of its fastest-selling game. Helldivers 2, developed by Sweden’s Arrowhead Game Studios, moved 12 million copies in its first 12 weeks and topped 15 million by November 2024, signalling robust demand ahead of its Xbox launch.

This is probably one of the BEST battle pass updates yet! A lot of the previous ones featured recycled gear with just color variations. I LOVE the new Yubi mask in this one! Would you rock this gear on Teardrop Island? https://t.co/bVL1csOn0o
