TT Games and Warner Bros. Games have unveiled “Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight,” an expansive action-adventure announced during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live in Cologne on 19 August 2025. The title is scheduled to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Built on the studio’s open-world formula introduced in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the new game lets players explore a freely traversable Gotham City, glide between rooftops or drive multiple Batmobiles, and tackle missions with a revamped, Arkham-style combat system. Story content weaves together decades of Batman lore, drawing on films by Tim Burton, Christopher Nolan and Matt Reeves, classic comics and earlier games. Batman will be joined by playable allies including Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing and Talia al Ghul, while the rogues’ gallery features the Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy and Bane—voiced by actor Matt Berry. “TT Games has crafted a love letter to the world of Batman,” DC President Jim Lee said in a statement released alongside the trailer.
