Black Forest Labs and image-editing platform Krea jointly released FLUX.1 Krea [dev] on 31 July, positioning the model as their most advanced open-weights system for text-to-image generation. The partners say the model eliminates the oversaturated, plasticky “AI look” common in earlier systems, producing more natural lighting and detail. Training refinements also give the model a distinctive aesthetic while preserving architectural compatibility with the wider FLUX.1 ecosystem, allowing developers to fine-tune it for downstream applications. The weights can be downloaded free of charge from HuggingFace, with demos running on Replicate and Together AI. Commercial licences are available through Black Forest Labs’ portal.
🔥 FLUX.1 Krea [dev] just landed on Together AI Finally: text-to-image that doesn't look obviously AI-generated. This "opinionated" model from @bfl_ml x @krea_ai beats the oversaturated aesthetic problem that's been killing photorealism. 👇 https://t.co/rUGRlabljg
