During the OpenAI DevDay 2024, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, discussed the company's progress towards achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) in a fireside chat with Kevin Weil. Altman highlighted that while current models, including the o1 model, are impressive, they are not yet AGI. He mentioned that OpenAI is currently at level two with the o1 model and is working towards level three. Altman emphasized that the definition of AGI is crucial and that progress is being made quickly. He projected that by 2025, AI agents will be operational.
