Biogen has announced a $2 billion investment to expand and modernize its manufacturing operations at North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park. This expansion will enhance the company’s antisense drug capabilities, add new fill-finish production lines, and incorporate artificial intelligence and automation technologies. With this investment, Biogen will operate eight facilities in North Carolina. The announcement coincides with Biogen’s 30th anniversary. Additionally, Biogen plans to highlight its scientific progress in Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2025.
