Broadcom has launched and begun shipping its new Jericho4 networking chip, designed to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities by linking smaller data centers. The Jericho4 chip can connect over one million processors across multiple data centers spanning distances greater than 100 kilometers. It supports a data throughput of 51.2 terabits per second (Tbps) and features deep-buffered, lossless Ethernet technology, making it suitable for powering AI data center backbones. This release rounds out Broadcom's AI networking portfolio, aiming to advance the infrastructure that supports AI workloads.
